An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Duty Team Leader at London Liverpool Street Station. The successful candidate will have the drive and ambition to make a positive difference to our customer travelling experience.
The Role
The purpose of the role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering effective customer service at all times and seeking opportunities to enhance the customer service experience at the station. You will ensure that customers are extended at the station, providing proactive assistance and information to customers on and off the trains and throughout the station. You will be focussed on the performance of our train service and work to high and exacting standards.
You will be responsible for managing a team of dispatchers and leading them in all matters regarding safety, security, safe and punctual dispatch of trains, and work in accordance of the rule book and operational standards.
Within this role, you will be responsible for maintaining security of the station premises at all times and carry out winter precautions as per station arrangements. This role will also include station cleaning and security checks as part of your daily duties.
This is a full-time post and requires flexibility and working shifts of earlies, lates and nights, including weekends.
What we are looking for
You will have a good level of professionalism, positive attitude, proactive, and friendly when dealing with our customers. Effective customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. You will remain calm under pressure, show integrity and be flexible (within your working hours).
The successful candidate should ideally have a Train Dispatch background and have experience working in a front facing customer environment. You must be performance driven by targets and delivering a right time railway for the business and our customers.
This is a safety critical role, and you will be responsible for the safe dispatch of trains. A medical will be required upon successful interview.
